Dear Bean,

Mommy's impatience got the best of her, so Daddy and I went to the doctor on Friday. They took some of mommy's blood so to check the to see how you are doing. I will go back on Monday so they can take more blood and keep measuring. Don't worry, it doesn't hurt too much!

The best part is that we are going on Friday to see you!! We are going to have an ultrasound down so we can see how much you are growing. Hopefully, your heart will be beating, too. I can't wait to hear your heartbeat. Hearing your heartbeat is the most important thing to us right now.

We have only known you for 2 weeks, but we love you so much. We think about you everyday and we are planning how to make you happy and give you everything you need. Daddy is working very hard so that we can get you set up for college. Yes, Bean, I know that we still 19 years to worry about that, but I am sure that once you are are here, college will be here before we know it.

Just so you are prepared, your parents are weird. I know that all parents are weird, but we are super weird! You will see what I mean as soon as you meet us - especially Daddy! One of the ways that Mommy is weird is because I have been hoping for morning sickness for since I found out that you were coming. Sometimes, morning sickness is a sign that everything is going well with a pregnancy. I am happy to say that Mommy has been feeling a little barfy for the last 2 days! Yay! Not too bad, so I am happy for that. I hope it's a good sign that you are growing and that you are planning on being here in February!

See you on Friday!

Love,
Mommy

Keeping the faith

"You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing which you think you cannot do." Eleanor Roosevelt

Dear Bean,

I am very worried and hope that you are healthy and growing. I think this is nature's way of letting me know that I will be worrying about you for your whole life. I am trying to be patient and wait to see you and hopefully, hear your heart beat on June 17th. I called the doctor today, each time I got the answering message. FYI - mommy isn't the most patient person in the world, so I am trying to hold out until the doctor's appointment. I don't think I will make it until the 17th and will try to get an appointment to come in sooner, just to make sure you are okay. Get used to it, kiddo! Mommy will probably make many, many more calls in the future "just to make sure you are okay."

We cannot wait for you to get here!!! This will be the longest, and best 9 months of my life! I hope you are growing and that you are healthy. We already bought you an outfit. Baby, I hope you like monkeys because you are going to be surrounded!!

Love,
Mommy

I just wanted you to know

Hi Bean,

I just wanted to let you know that we are still thinking about you. Mommy and daddy are trying new things this month to hopefully get you here asap!

Mommy is trying acupuncture and Chinese herbs, as well as Evening Primrose and massage. Daddy is wearing brand new underoos and is trying new vitamins also.

I sure do wish you were here. I think of how we would only be waiting 3 more months for you if your travel plans had gone well last summer. It makes mommy sad when I think how much I was looking forward to you coming to us. Mommy has never been so happy as she was when mommy and daddy were waiting for you.

For some reason, no one likes to talk about this. It has been very hard to not share how excited I was about you and how devastated I was when we learned that you would not be coming to us yet.

I am trying everything I can think of to make sure that you come to us soon. I am going through all of my soaps and lotions to make sure that nothing will get in the way of your joining us.

In about 2 more weeks we will find out if you are on your way. I just wanted you to know how much we can't wait for you to get here!

Love,
Mommy

Dear Bean...

Dear Bean,

I am hoping that you are on your way to us. We can't wait for you to arrive! We thought you would be starting your journey to us last summer, but you must have turned around after a few weeks and decided to come at a better time. I think that you are sending me some signs that you are on your way. I am not positive but I feel like you might be coming to stay with us in about 40 weeks.

These types of travel signs are a little hard to interpret: sore boobs, cold-like symptoms, mild cramps, higher than normal bbt and an all-around feel like you are on your way. We will know for sure in about a week! I hope to see you soon!

Love,
Mommy
